Education:

– 80 UCAS tariff points (or higher) or a 60-credit Ofqual qualification at Level 3 

– GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent qualifications) in English and Mathematics 

Applicants Aged 21+:

For applicants aged 21 and above who do not meet the standard entry requirements, we also consider those with relevant life or work experience, making them suitable for undergraduate study through our Foundation programme.

English Proficiency: 

For students whose first language is not English, an IELTS score of 5.5 overall (with a minimum of 5.0 in all components) is required.

All Applicants:

All applicants will be assessed by the GBS Admissions Team. This includes an interview to evaluate listening and speaking skills, and a Personal Reflection Statement to assess writing skills.

The course assessment is designed to offer all students opportunities to showcase the full range of knowledge, skills, and competencies essential in construction management. Assessment methods include essays, reports, real-life simulations, presentations, projects, and group discussions.

You will need to dedicate personal time to complete research, assignments, and group work. Independent study is crucial to your success in this course, and lecturers will provide guidance on effective study approaches throughout the program.

Assessment methods are reviewed annually and may be updated based on student feedback, course content, or recommendations from an External Examiner—an independent academic expert from another higher education institution who ensures academic standards are maintained.

All students have access to student finance.

Tuition Fee Loans

A Tuition Fee Loan covers the cost of your tuition fees and is paid directly to your awarding institution (in this case, Bath Spa University). You’ll only start repaying the loan once you’ve completed your course and are earning £26,575 or more per year. Both full-time and part-time students can apply.

Maintenance Loans

If eligible, you can also apply for a Maintenance Loan to cover living costs. This loan is paid directly into your bank account at the start of each term. Like the Tuition Fee Loan, repayments begin once you’ve completed your course and are earning more than £26,575 annually. For more information, visit  gov.uk/studentfinance.

Maintenance Grants

You may be able to apply for a Maintenance Grant to help with living expenses. Unlike loans, Maintenance Grants do not need to be repaid. However, receiving a grant may reduce the amount of Maintenance Loan you are eligible to borrow.

New students must provide proof that they have lived in the UK for at least five years before their course start date to qualify for living cost support from Student Finance England.
